The History of ACCERT

The innovative and foreseen sequel and the creation of a volunteer group was drawn up by these intelligent, energetic, and hardworking gentlemen and a lady, thereby, establishing Community Support Volunteers, Apparently, in the year 2015, PSSUP Rhodel Sermonia, PSSUP Ronald Dela Rosa, PSSUP Albert Ignacius Ferro, Atty. Cherry Anne Dela Cruz and Mr. Miguel C. Ortiz, devised the Anti-Crime, Terrorism and Community Investigation Support (ACT-CIS) whose aims objectives are to support law enforcement agencies in the drive against criminalities and terrorism. However, in times of natural calamities and man-made disasters, these volunteer groups are in quandary on how to provide a rescue operation. Finding a way to enhance community service, these gentlemen and a lady formulated plants and programs with the concept of supporting the government agencies in their drive against lawless elements, terrorism, immediate response during natural calamities, and other community services, hence, the Anti-Crime and Community Emergency Response Team (ACCERT) was then created to fit with its concept and purpose.

ACCERT creation of its Core Officers and Board of Trustees, the Board of Trustees immediately promulgated the Constitution and By-Laws to implement policies and the guidelines for its members. An ACCERT Organization Structure was likewise set up to handle respective positions based on the chain of command. Thereafter, the Board of Trustees elected Mr. Miguel C. Ortiz is the Corporate President of the Anti-Crime and Community Emergency Response Team (ACCERT) PSSUPT Anthony Obenza (Ret.) was designated as the ACCERT Executive Vice President.

On August 8, 2016, documents for the accreditation were filed at the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) and were subsequently approved on August 24, 2016. Likewise, the Security and Exchange Commission issued a Certificate of Incorporation on September 20, 2016. At this point on, the ACCERT have much improvement bearing the skills of information gathering and immediate response on their acquired knowledge after being trained and Police tactics and Emergency Response.

As we mark this 9th year, we renew our commitment to uphold the values of discipline, readiness, and volunteerism. Together, we look forward to continuing our mission of service, with hearts full of gratitude and determination to make an even greater impact in the years ahead.

This year 2025 of September 29, we proudly celebrate the 9th Founding Anniversary of ACCERT (Anti-Crime and Community Emergency Response Team) — nine years of commitment, compassion, and courage in serving our communities.

Since its establishment, ACCERT has stood firm in its mission to protect lives, promote safety, and extend a helping hand to those in need. Anti-Crime and Community Emergency Response Team is a non-stock, non-profit, non-government organization duly registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission with SEC Registration No. CN-201617958. It was created by a group of individuals coming from different sectors of society without distinction as to political affilation, social class, religion or gender with the goal of organizing a team prepared and equipped to respond during times of calamities, natural disasters and other emergencies, to help solve and suppress crimes as well as promoting a free and peacefull community. 1.) Must be an able bodied Filipino Citizen

2.) Must be of legal age (18 years old and above.)

3.) Has no medical and mental illness

4.) He / She is not convicted and currently serving the penalty of any crimes

5.) Must not be a member of any armed group or organization operating against the government.
